In 1989 MSI Construction, Inc. began by doing commercial work in the downtown area of Yakima, primarily retail store remodeling projects.

Over the past 17 years we have completed a wide variety of projects. We have completed commercial projects ranging from tenant improvements for Just Sports, Morgan Jewelers, Hallmark, Orange Julius, The GAP and The Buckle. We have built car washes’, Subway’s and worked on The Hilton Garden Inn in Yakima. MSI has remodeled the Train Depots in Yakima and Renton for Central Washington Railroad. We have built office buildings and portable classrooms for Epic in Yakima, Sunnyside, Prosser, Bridgeport, Parker Heights and Ellisford. We built YAC Fitness in Yakima and remodeled and built numerous additions at the Yakima Athletic Club. MSI has worked extensively with The Tower management on improvements that include remodeling the lobby, a full floor remodel for an accounting firm, a 10,000 square foot remodel for the Federal Bankruptcy Court, remodels for the FBI, Homeland Security, ATF, U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency. We have built and remodeled banks for Banner Bank and built a business park for Phoenix Development Group in Ellensburg. Recently we completed a new building/remodel for Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health.

During the winter of 1991-1992 MSI built a Spec House. KYVE, a public television station, filmed the construction and presented the building series “Bricks and Sticks”, thirteen one-half hour shows. It was a public service guide on “how to build a home”. The company has completed numerous custom homes around Yakima and is developing the premier gated community in Yakima at Highpoint.

MSI Construction, Inc. has been able to grow at a controlled rate through the past 17 years. Controlling the rate of growth has allowed the company to become more profitable as the company is selective on the quantity and type of work selected.
MSI Construction, Inc participates in many community service activities in Yakima. Public service is part of our Mission:

We are a team of builders committed to producing the highest quality construction in collaboration with our customers.

We strive to provide superior customer service, innovative solutions and maximum flexibility thereby meeting our customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations.

We believe we have a moral responsibility to assist in improving the quality of life in our community.

Through our combined efforts we strive to make all our customers “Lifetime Customers”

We foresee a strong future based on our commitment to excellence and the wealth of experience our employees have in the construction industry.  Our growing list of satisfied customers testifies to the fact that we work hard to fulfill our Mission.
